MEI has considerable expertise and experience in conference
and meeting management, particularly in the areas of site selection and
negotiation, planning, logistical arrangements, registration, and fiscal
control. In addition, we are skilled and experienced in coordinating promotion
for the conference or meeting, and in the planning, preparation and management
of those things which support the goals of the meeting or conference (e.g.,
printed materials, special events, exhibit sales and arrangements).
MEI prefers to manage conferences and meetings in conjunction
with a meeting/conference committee made up of association members. The
committee is responsible for establishing the overall goals, theme and thematic
program content of the meeting/conference. MEI is responsible
for implementation. In this way, association members are directly involved
in the planning and content of their meeting, but are backed up by professionals
accustomed to implementing the myriad details needed for a successful meeting
or conference.
MEI has managed several international conferences. Sites
have included each of the major U.S. and Canadian cities. Participants have
come from every major European and Asian country. We have the skill and
experience to deal with the details of managing exhibits for international
companies, to deal with import/export customs regulations for participants
and exhibitors, and to provide translation services and multi-lingual conference
