We are professional managers, highly skilled in the specialized
disciplines required to manage the needs and services of membership organizations.
We have proven success in providing management services to trade associations
and professional societies with local, state, national,
and international scope. Our staff has a combined experience of 30 years
in association management and 30 years in top-level organizational management.
MEIs leaders know first hand the advantages, disadvantages,
and pitfalls of both large and small organizations, having worked as employees
and managers in both. They have demonstrated success in developing, managing
and balancing finances, organizational structures, growth and long-range
plans for organizations of various sizes, within whatever resources are
available.
MEIs staff are not just workers. Theyre participants
in the conduct of our clients business, in the conduct of our own business,
and in returning to our industry and our community some measure of the benefits
we enjoy. Weekly staff meetings are a forum for free and open exchange.
Continuing professional development is encouraged.
Corporately and personally we take active roles in the
Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Dayton and Ohio Societies of Association
Executives, the American Society of Association Executives, the Institute
of Association Management Companies, and in more personal local and religious
organizations.
Our regular staff is augmented by a team of consulting
staff an accountant, a certified financial planner, and several lawyers.
The accountant is primarily MEIs accountant, but is also available (as
are other accountants) to perform accounting services for our clients should
they wish CPA-performed accounting in lieu of MEI doing the accounting work.
Our financial planner assists MEI in managing its assets, investments, and
employee benefit programs, but is also available to our clients for financial
planning and counsel. We retain the services of three law firms also available
to our clients one for general and corporate law counsel, and two
with specialized credentials in association law.
